Obituary

Thaddaeus McIntosh, 39, of Groton, passed away in his sleep Aug. 9, 2021. He was born May 11, 1982, in Sewickley, Pa., the son of John McIntosh and Pauline McIntosh.
He attended Fitch Senior High School. Thaddaeus enjoyed spending time with his immediate family by camping, hiking, going to the beach and doing other outdoor activities. He was fun to be around. He liked to make jokes; and he joked around a lot. He liked to snuggle with his family, and cat Odin. He was a huge fan of Marvel and DC comics. He read a lot of comic books.
Thaddaeus met Jamie Caisse in the summer of 1999. He married Jamie June 18, 2003, and was married for 18 years, but they have been together for 21 years. He was a loving and devoted husband to Jamie and a great father to Octavian Thaddaeus McIntosh. Thaddaeus worked at Goodwill in Groton, where he was employed for 11 years and forged many good friendships with his co-workers. He looked forward to going to work to do his job and spend time with co-workers during his shift.
Surviving family members are his parents, John McIntosh and Pauline McIntosh; his wife Jamie McIntosh; and his son Octavian Thaddaeus McIntosh. He is also survived by three brothers, Alton Boyle of Groton, Darryl McIntosh of Durham, N.C., and Joseph Caruso, of Ohio; and three sisters, Rebecca Boyle-Perry of Cranston, R.I., Braunwyn McIntosh of Vallejo, Calif., and Ladonna McIntosh of Richmond, Calif.; 12 nephews; nine nieces; and his father-in-law Doug Caisse and mother-in-law Jean Caisse of Baltic; also three brothers-in-law, Doug Caisse and Chris Caisse of Baltic and Jeremy Caisse of Jamestown, N.Y.; and sister-in-law Sheila Cummings of Jewett City.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic.
