Stephen R. O'Donnell of Dorchester / Brockton passed away suddenly on August 11, 2021, at the age of 58. Steve was a member of the Brockton High School, he joined the Air Force and served his country for 6 years attaining the rank of SSGT. Steve also received many ribbons and medals during his time in the Air force. Following his Honorable Discharge Steve was a member of many south shore communities with his final move being to Randolph.
Steve worked in housekeeping for many years at South Shore Hospital and Brockton Hospital taking great pride in his work with his attention to detail. He also worked for a short while at Curtis liquors in Weymouth. Steve was an avid bowler and loved playing in his league at West Gate Lanes in Brockton. Steve also enjoyed playing chess, listening to music, and watching anything sci-fi related on TV. There was also a special place in Steve’s heart for animals, especially his cat Bob.
Steve was the loving son of the late Richard O’Donnell and Mary Guilfoye. He is survived by his loving sister Jeanette Mcloud and her husband Edward of Weymouth. Steve was the uncle of Pat McLoud and his wife Sarah of Weymouth, Sarah Linder and Jonathan and their child Tori of Brighton and Samantha Erwin and her husband Anthony of Abington. Steve also leaves behind his loving girlfriend of 5 years Vicky Mathieu of Braintree and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Steve on Tuesday August 17, 2021 from 3-6pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A funeral service will take place at 1030am in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home on Wednesday August 18, 2021. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
