Obituary



Marcia (Quinn) Booth, 71, of Worcester died Thursday, August 12th at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her children, Sean Michael Booth of Worcester and Kerry Lynn Metcalf of Leicester; her siblings, BetteAnn Wallen of Worcester, her twin, Mary Gabree of Auburn, Joseph Quinn of Worcester, Jane Chace and her husband, David of Falmouth, Sheila Quinn-Kniskern of Worcester; four grandchildren, Patrick Booth, Jamison Metcalf, Payton Booth and Griffin Metcalf; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Earle C. “Clay” Booth in 2021.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane (Shea) Quinn and graduated from South High School. Marcia worked at UMASS Memorial for over 30 years as a unit secretary, retiring in 2020 due to illness. She was a hard worker who enjoyed spending her summers at Green Harbor, Boston’s on the Beach in Delray Beach and traveling to Ireland. Marcia loved to dance and was always the first to the dance floor. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and cherished the time she spent at her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Her funeral is Tuesday, August 17th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Monday, August 16th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
