Obituary

Josephine R. (Catalano) Patracuollo 93, of Franklin, died peacefully with family at her side, Thursday August 12, 2021 at home, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Patracuollo, for 67 years.

Born March 18, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Giuseppa (Vigneri) Catalano, she was a Franklin resident for over 55 years. Raised and educated in Brooklyn, she worked as a seamstress and dressmaker for designer Carrie Munn in Manhattan.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish Franklin. A proud devoted wife and mother, she retired from her career to raise their six children at home. Always a smile on her face and known for her sweet personality and delightful demeanor she struck up many conversations wherever she would go, spreading her joyfulness with everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Patricia J. Patracuollo of West Yarmouth, Charles S. Patracuollo and his wife Linda of Stoughton, Jean M. Forte of Lake Stevens, Washington, Judy A. Tucker and her husband Randy of Franklin, Frank J. Patracuollo and his wife Karen of Mansfield and Joseph J. Patracuollo and his wife Laura of Nolensville, Tennessee.

Also surviving are her grandchildren; Laurie Ruane-Niro, Bill Ruane, Jen Riggs, Corrine Perchard, Joe & Tommy Forte, Christina Williams, Jennifer & Matthew DiRosario, Nicholas Patracuollo, Ashley & Chris Hall, and her great grandchildren; Gianna Niro, Braeden Riggs, Jacson & Kynslie Perchard, Billy Ruane, Giuseppi & Luca Forte.

She also leaves behind many extended family, friends and kind caring neighbors, all whom she loved very much.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, and siblings; Angelina Zarkas, Dominic Catalano, Nat Catalano and Catherine Singleton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Monday August 16th, from 9-10AM.

A funeral Mass will follow in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10:30AM.

A private interment will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
