Worcester: John W. Cook, 53, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 6, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife Elaine T. (Mario) Cook; 5 children- Jessica Crespo, Elizabeth Blair, Joseph Cook II, Christopher Cook, and Sarah Cook; 6 grandchildren- Jonathan, Caleb, Hailie, Landon, Sophie, and Logan; his mother-in-law Lorraine Foss; son-in-law Alex Crespo; daughter-in-law Sarah Hughes ;2 sisters- Donna and Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.
John was born in Boston, the youngest of 6 children of the late Joseph and Shirley (McIntire) Cook. He graduated from Dorchester High School and worked as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, sitting around the fire pit, and all sports- especially the Bruins. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He would often say that he was a Jack of all trades but a master of none. There was nothing he couldn't fix. In our eyes he was the Master of any problem. Our eternal Guardian Angel Handyman.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 4-7 in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A celebration of life service will be held at 6 pm. in the funeral home. For directions or to leave an online condolence message, please click guestbook link.
