Ernest Eugene "Ernie" Stevens, 84, of Chesterfield died at his residence August 12, 2021.
He was born January 25, 1937, in Tipton, the son of John and Edna (Hines) Stevens. He worked for the Life of Virginia, Stine and Wood, Elston Richards and Home Instead Health Care. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church where he served as a deacon and a member of Fresh Start Sunday School Class, Chesterfield Optimist Club and was an avid supporter of Highland High School athletics.
Ernie is survived by his two daughters, Leslie Stevens of Anderson and Lori (Mark) Lynch of Noblesville; four grandchildren, Natalie (Ben) Iliff of Texas, Kelsey Lynch of Noblesville, Kirby Lynch of Delaware and Melanie Lynch of Noblesville; three great-grandchildren, Mila, Marlee and Emerson; brother, Harold Stevens of Tipton; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kay Stevens in 2018; siblings, Keith, Peg, Joan, Becky, Lucy, Shirley and Jerry.
Services will be noon on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. Friends may visit with the family Monday from 10 until the service at noon.
Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery in Cicero, Indiana at 3 p.m. Monday.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Christian Church.
