Sandra G. (Mitchell) Bent, age 72, of Mansfield, formerly of North Attleboro passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter E. Bent, to whom she was wed for fifty-one years at the time of his death on May 10, 2017.
Born in Charlottesville, Virginia on July 9, 1949, she was a loving daughter of the late Elgan W. and Frances E. (Malcolm) Mitchell.
Sandra grew up and was educated in Maryland and was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past nine years, previously residing in North Attleboro and also in Mansfield., where she raised her family.
Sandra’s family was truly her greatest gift in life, especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies included crafts, games, reading and antiquing.
She is survived by her devoted children: Michael and his wife Stefanie of Cumberland, RI, Shawn and his wife Kimberly of Huntington Beach, CA and the late Kristin. She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew, Christopher and Kylie.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, August 21st from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
