Minnie Louise Gibbs, 76, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Tommy Land, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the graveside.
Miss Gibbs was born November 26, 1944, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Wesley & Bertha Lee Palmer Gibbs. She lived in the community all of her life and was an LPN at Dorminy Medical Center. Miss Gibbs was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was fiercely devoted to her family. Minnie was well known for her kind and giving spirit-- and her great Southern Cooking!
She is survived by a child of her heart, Darrel Collins; her nieces and a nephew: Beth Fowler & Gary, John Ed Griffin, and Laura Trevena; a great-nephew and a great-niece: John Wesley Griffin and Kaylyn Venteicher and great-great-nieces and nephews: Adley Venteicher, Kip Venteicher, Anna Beth Venteicher and Liam Griffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Johnnie Blue Gibbs and four sisters: Lurene Livingston, Betty Tom Gibbs, Peggy Griffin, and Evelyn Mays.
