Costantino Giliberto, of Medford, died Monday in the Forestdale Assisted Living in Malden. He was 91. Born in Augusta, Sicily. He was the son of the late Vincent and Domenica (Solano) Giliberto.
Costantino lived in Boston’s West End before moving to Medford where he resided for over 70 years. He studied at the Naval Academy in Italy, where he became an officer in the Merchant Marines. Constantino owned several restaurants and was a very successful real estate entrepreneur. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Costantino was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Gianino) Giliberto. He was the devoted father of Salvatore C. Giliberto and his wife Donna, Christine D’Apice and her husband Carmen and the late Vincent G. Giliberto and his late wife Mary Jane (Palladino). He was the loving grandfather of Jenna and Christina Giliberto and Gerald D’Apice and the great grandfather of Aidan, Lilliana and Giovanni.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Thursday August 12th from 10 to 11 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 11:30 AM. Service will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
