Claudette Lucille Beaudoin
October 27, 1938 to August 7, 2021
Claudette L. Beaudoin of Hooksett passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester, New Hampshire on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the age of 82. Claudie, as she was known to her friends and family, was born on October 27, 1938 in Nashua, New Hampshire, and she was the only daughter of Maurice and Stella Chevrette. Claudie grew up on Palm Street in Nashua, and she graduated from Saint Louis. After high school she attended nursing school at Youville Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She worked primarily at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua where she met many of her lifelong friends, but eventually left there to work with Dr. Jerry Chamberlain whose office was on Kinsley Street. Later in her career, the doctor’s office moved to 280 Main Street, and she eventually retired in 2004.
While she was at Saint Joseph’s Hospital she met Gerard Beaudoin, who also worked there as a nurse anesthetist. They fell in love and were married on April 15, 1972, and spent the majority of their life raising their children in Nashua. In 2006 they moved to Hooksett in order to help care for their autistic grandson, Zachary.
Claudie enjoyed knitting and ceramics, but her love was for her family and friends. She loved all four of her children very much, and her friends were lifelong, and they included Dick and Geline Haggerty, Peter and Pat Hansen, Ken and Willy Polacek, and Evelyn Mondoux. She is predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Stella Chevrette of Nashua. She is survived by her husband, Gerard Beaudoin of Hooksett, and her children David and Sue Wolfe of Nashua, Daniel and Marie Wolfe of Lee, Charlene Wolfe and her significant other, Ed Stratton of Alaska, and Marc and Christen Beaudoin of Hooksett. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Courtney Wolfe, Alyssa Wolfe, Tyler Wolfe, Melina Wolfe, Devin Wolfe, Jeremy Wolfe, Danielle Wolfe, Abby Beaudoin, Zachary Beaudoin, Hailey Beaudoin, and Jacob Beaudoin along with several great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Webster St.
Committal prayers will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis St. Nashua.
