Nellie Patricia “Pat” Gray Wirebaugh, 69, of Enigma passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at her residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mrs. Wirebaugh at a later date.
Born December 27, 1951, in Thomaston, Mrs. Wirebaugh was the daughter of the late J. D. Gray, Sr. and Lillian Strickland Gray. She was also preceded in death by one son, Elbert Lee Wood; three brothers, Herbert Gray, Woodrow and J. D. Gray, Jr., who died July 29, 2021, and two sisters, Connie Hopkins and Susan Barnes. She was a homemaker and a retired dietician from Tifton Health and Rehabilitation. She was a member of Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wirebaugh is survived by her husband, Chuck Wirebaugh of Enigma; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Lynn and Jay Herebia and Michelle and Brian Franklin, all of Enigma, Holly Rhodes, Marcie and David Lacey and Kristel Wirebaugh; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Frances and Cecil Giddens and Brenda and Henry Parkerson, all of Enigma and Loretta Burkett of Douglas; a brother-in-law, Ronald Barnes of Brookfield; two sisters-in-law, Birdie Gray of Douglas and Dell Fuller of Florida; twelve grandchildren, Christy Leeann Wood, Grabiela Hugh, Michelle Williams, Patrick Cooper, Melissa Leija, Elizabeth Herbia, Jessica Herebia, David Lacey, Michael Lacey, Hayden Rhodes, Charlie Kelly and Cole Weaver; many great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Dawn Guy.
