Michael Olen McGuire, 79, of New Port Richey, Florida, died August 4, 2021 at Gulfside Hospice in New Port Richey.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Tommy Land, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery, in Irwinville, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. McGuire was born February 28, 1942, in Dade City, Florida, to the late Olen Monroe & Margaret Elizabeth Veal McGuire. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Mr. McGuire was an auto mechanic and a commercial fisherman. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by a son, Michael Olen McGuire & Erin of Canton, Georgia; a daughter, Lincie Micale McGuire of West Palm Beach, Florida; a granddaughter, Melissa McGuire of Canton and a sister, Vivian Lois Bledsoe & Vernon Bledsoe of Fitzgerald. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Edward McGuire.
