Obituary

George W Davison of Franklin MA, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2021.

George was born April 1, 1936 in Boston, MA to Mary (Grace) Slade and George C. Davison, growing up in Roslindale, MA.

After graduating high school, George served in the Army, stationed overseas from 1954-1956. He returned from serving his country, earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering at night while working at Hershey Products Company in Dedham, MA, leading to a successful career as a General Manager at Augat Inc. of Attleboro, MA until his retirement in 1991.

After retirement, he got great satisfaction golfing in leagues and spending time with his friends from the Franklin Elks Lodge where he was a member since the 70’s.

But above all, George cherished the gift of time with his family. He loved nothing more than watching his grandchildren play sports, dance, enjoy a family party or spend the day golfing with his wife and friends.

George realized how important it was to enjoy every day and every moment. Even as his Alzheimer’s disease progressed, George would light up when his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would come visit.

George is survived by his beloved wife Druscilla (Burns); daughters and sons-in-laws, Patricia and Al Inglesi of Franklin, MA; Jeanne and Wayne Carbone of Franklin, MA; Ellen and Steven Lincourt of Wrentham, MA; and sons and daughter-in-law, George and Christine Davison of Yarmouth Port MA; and James Davison of Franklin, MA. Also surviving are his eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah, Amanda, Corey, Michael, Shannon, Michaela and Colleen and six great-grandchildren; sister, Christy and Al Pitman of Maynard; sister Donna D'Agostino Hughes of Waltham; and brother Arthur and Trina D'Agostino of Plant City, FL. George is also survived by his former wife, Patricia Davison Murray of Dennis, MA.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 11:00 on Friday, August 13, 2021. To view the Mass stmarysfranklin.org

Interment with military honors will directly follow at St. Mary’s cemetery.
