Obituary


Eleanor M. “Ellie” (Boudreau) Howe 85, a longtime resident of Whitman, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday August 7. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late James E. Howe.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Mary (Doherty) Boudreau.

Eleanor was a graduate of Whitman High School, Class of 1953.

She is survived by her loving children Peggy Pigeon and her husband David, Debbie Ford and her husband George, Timmy Howe, Peter Howe and his wife Annette and Scott Howe and his wife Laura.

She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren Heather Spano, Jeremy Nelson, Courtney White, Amberly Rotti, James Howe, Mandy Howe, Joshua Howe, Zack Howe, Ryan Larson and Nevaeh Howe and her 5 great grandchildren Matthew Spano, Jack Spano, Bella Nelson, Camden White and Carsen White.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Friday August 13 from 10 am- 12 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Saint James Cemetery.
