Obituary

Kosmas Parousis, 85, of Worcester died Sunday, August 8th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Christina (Andrianopoulos) Parousis; his children, Demetra Kennedy, William Parousis, and Christos Parousis all of Worcester; a brother, Stavros Parousis of Tampa, FL; a sister, Constantina Venetis and her husband, Vasilios of Greece; a sister-in-law, Agatha Andrianopoulos of Worcester; two grandchildren, Frank Alexander and Demetrios Kosmas and their father, Frank W. Kennedy, II. He also leaves several nieces and nephews including his godson, Christos Andrianopoulos and his wife, Sonja and their children; Angeliki Tsetsos and her husband, Vaggell and their children; Vasilios and Michael Parousis. He was predeceased by a brother, Christoforos Parousis; brother-in-law, George Andrianopoulos; and sister-in-law, Antonia Parousis.
He as born in Vavourion, Greece the son of the late Vasilios and Demetra (Panagopoulos) Parousis. Kosmas retired in 1998 from Table Talk Pies where he worked for 27 years as a baker. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Kosmas enjoyed watching soccer, wrestling and was an avid Patriots fan. In his younger years, Kosmas loved to go deep sea fishing. He was a devoted husband, a great father and pappou who loved his family unconditionally.
His funeral is Wednesday, August 11th with a service at 10:30 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 until the start of the service in the Cathedral. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
