Donald G. Hinkle, age 78, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of the late Carol (Gulan) Hinkle to whom he was wed on October 7, 1967 and who passed away on November 14, 2019.
Being born in Nacogdoches, TX, Donald settled in the Massachusetts area in the 60’s. He met Carol while working at Texas Instruments and they were wed 6 months later. From there, they developed a lifetime of memories together that lasted for over 52 years.
They entered together into a passion for the sport of bowling. He and Carol enjoyed their involvement within the Men’s, Woman’s, and Youth bowling associations and each earned many trophy and awards. Many plaques and many memories go into this history that they built together. It was quite a passion.
As Donald started his educational journey in TX, he totaled his education with company training that led to his career as a materials handler. Donald started his career with Panasonic Companies and retired from Instron Corporation in 2009. He enjoyed prepping up deliveries to make certain that his deliveries were properly scheduled and expertly executed.
Donald was the son of the late James Hinkle Jewel McLane (Beall - Hinkle) and the brother of the late Charles C. Hinkle. He is survived by his loving Son and Daughter, Richard Hinkle and daughter Terri Hinkle (partner Jeff Hill) of Attleboro. Donald was the loving brother-in-law to Margaret (Margot) Shields, ESC., Peter Gulan (wife Jean Sullivan) and the late Jean Gulan.
He was the cherished uncle of his niece Barbara Hinkle and her sister and brother Susan and David Snook. In addition, he was also the uncle of Barbara, Patrick (wife Jennifer), (the late) Sheila (Shecki), Timothy (wife Kat), and John (wife Sarah) Gulan. All the family that made him whole.
Services and burial will be private.
