Obituary

CHICOPEE – Shawn C. Comiskey, 40, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He passed into Eternal Life surrounded by all the memories he loved and cherished. He was born in Holyoke on April 25, 1981, a beloved son of Patrick J. Comiskey, Sr. and Barbara J. (Metz) Comiskey, both of Chicopee. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of Aldenville.
Shawn furthered his education and received an Associate Degree in Hotel Management and then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales College in Providence, RI. Shawn was a great chef and worked at Carmen Anthony’s in Connecticut and Carmelina’s in Hadley. He also worked at Spiro’s and the Lucky Strike Restaurants, both in Aldenville. Shawn was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend who was always ready to assist his family and his many friends. Shawn was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and win or lose was always ready to watch his favorite team. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and most especially with his nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his loving brother, Michael P. Comiskey who was Called Home on September 4, 2016. He leaves his loving parents, Patrick J. Comiskey, Sr. and Barbara J. (Metz) Comiskey of Chicopee; his loving maternal grandmother, Caroline Lutz of Chicopee; his four loving brothers and sisters, Patrick J. Comiskey, Jr. of Chicopee, Anthony B. Comiskey and his wife, Jennifer, of Northfield, Tami M. Higgins and her husband, Scott, of Lanexa, VA and Erin C. Fedora and her husband, Andrew, of Chicopee; his 13 cherished nephews and nieces; his cherished uncles and aunts; and his many dear cousins and numerous friends. His burial will be private for his family at Sainte Rose Cemetery, Chicopee. His funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Baystate Medical Center Children’s Miracle Network, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01199.
