CORLISS, Judith E. (Heino) of Wellesley Hills, August 6, 2021. Judith, born on 10/18/1938 in Fitchburg, MA was the daughter of Onni Heino and Louise Strapparo, and the beloved wife of Craig W. Corliss for 60 years. Loving mother of Dr. Steven M. Corliss and his wife Kelly of Hopkinton and Michael C. Corliss and his fiancée Jennifer Verdini of Sudbury. Grandmother of Craig, Victoria, Hunter, and Lauren.
Judith was a graduate of Fitchburg High School and the Elizabeth A. Ollis Academy of Aesthetics in Worcester. She was a passionate lover of Boston sports teams, an avid gardener, a lover of horticulture, and a long time member of the Longfellow Sports Club of Natick. As a 14 year old, she was once deemed an excellent tennis prospect by Hazel Wightman, famous women’s multi-championship tennis player. Judith was also an accomplished artist whose works have brought enjoyment by gracing the walls in the homes of family and friends.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley on Tuesday, Aug. 10 from 4-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
