Emma (Smith) Hartley Denison age 102 of Salem, NH, died Wednesday at the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH.
She was born in Methuen, MA, where she grew up and attended schools. She was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 6 years, formerly of Nashua, NH, and Methuen, MA, and taught piano for many years in the Methuen area.
Mrs. Denison was a manager for Thornton Village Mobile Home Park in Nashua, NH. She had previously ran a boarding house in Lawrence, MA.
She was an organist at the Advent Christian church in Lawrence, MA, and performed in several bands throughout Massachusetts and California. She enjoyed going to church, gardening, traveling, and meeting new people.
She was predeceased by her 2 husbands Fred Denison & John Hartley.She was also predeceased by 3 sons: John, Wesley, and Wilfred HartleyShe was also predeceased by a granddaughter Karen Hartley
She is survived by 2 Daughter In Laws: Barbara Hartley of Texas Vera Hartley of Laconia, NH7 Grandchildren10 Great Grandchildren1 Great Great GrandchildAnd many relatives in Macclesfield, England

A Memorial service will be held Thursday at 11AM at the Tenney Methodist Church, Main Street, Salem, NH.
Inurnment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Methuen, MA
