Edna M. (Yeomans) Sears, of Boston, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 5th. She was 96. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Herbert and Julia (Guibitosso) Yeomans.
Edna loved to travel with her beloved husband Bernard. They traveled all around the world, and absolutely adored France, visiting Paris sixteen times. When Edna was not traveling, she enjoyed shopping. Edna was a fashionista, and frequently visited all the local designer stores. Edna always dressed to the nines, not one detail was ever overlooked and she always looked smashing. When it came to technology Edna was always on board to try the next new thing, even if it meant standing in line for hours to get the newest IPhone.
Edna was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Bernard R. Sears. She was the loving aunt of Lawrence Sears and Harry Sears both of Boston, Ellen Berlin and her son Jeffrey. She was the caring cousin of Dominic A. Marcellino, Richard A. Marcellino, James A. Marcellino, Louise M. Marcellino, Robert C. Helman and his wife Ellen D., Jonathon S. Helman, Katy Helman and the late Vincent A. Marcellino and his surviving wife Julie. She was the loving owner of her furry companions Dante and Chandler. She is also survived by many other loving family members. Edna’s family would like to personally thank Carmen, Christine, Suze, Kathleen, Katrina and Jane her blessed caregivers.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, Monday, August 9th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
