Patricia Ann (Ellington) Sansoucy, 78 a longtime resident of Medway, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 after a long illness. She is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Sansoucy of 57 years.
She grew up in Millis, MA, graduated in 1961, and was the daughter of the late Alma (Hopf) Ellington and Homer John Ellington. She was the sister of the late Richard Ellington and John Ellington. She is survived by her sister Laura (Ellington) Toothaker of Nashua, NH.
Before retirement Patricia owned her own bookkeeping practice after spending time at home raising her family. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed her time as the both a member and President of the Millis Bowling League.
Patricia converted to Catholicism and raised her family with great faith are care. She volunteered her time with St. Joseph’s Church of Medway and served on the Financial Committee for many years. She served on the board of Medway Bank and was a long-time member of the Medway Business council. Volunteered as the secretary and treasurer for the Millis/Medway Pop-Warner team.
She enjoyed a good gathering and being with the people. She loved catching up with everyone and was a good party planner among many sisters in laws. The holidays were her favorite time of the year. Hosting a houseful family, all were in awe of her decorations, and wonderful food made for their pleasure. Most that spoke with Pat would receive her advice, and language to either steer you away from challenge, help guide you through it, or to console you at the end of your journey. Either way, she was honest and loved hard. She and Sam complimented all of this with wonderful road trips in the motor home driving across country visiting family, friends and sights. She was an avid crafter who loved to sew, and enjoyed sharing her creations as gifts.
Patricia raised a cherished family. She is survived by her son Donald Sansoucy and his wife Sue Sansoucy of Moncks Corner, SC, her son Keith Sansoucy and his wife Kathleen Sansoucy of Wake Forest, NC, her son Mark Sansoucy and his wife Lorraine Sansoucy of Torrance, California, her daughter Paula (Sansoucy) Brown and her husband Chris of Summerville, SC. She is also survived by eleven beloved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Along with many cherished in-laws who brought her great joy, love and friendship.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass and celebration of her life on Monday August 9, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Church Medway, MA.
