Kenneth J. Skidmore, Sr., 80, of Derry, NH, died Thursday August 5, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Winchester, MA on October 27, 1940, a son of the late Merritt and Dorothy (Munn) Skidmore. He had been a resident of Derry for the past 55 years, formerly living in Wakefield, MA. Ken was a US Air Force veteran serving from 1959 - 1963. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for True Value in Manchester.
He is survived by his wife Gloria (Snow) Skidmore of Derry; his son, Kenneth J. Skidmore, Jr. and his wife Dana of Clinton, CT; his daughter, Cathy J. Skidmore-Hess and her husband Daniel of Statesboro, GA; seven grandchildren; and his niece, Ms. Kimberly Brown, of Meredith, NH. He was predeceased by his siblings, Merritt Skidmore and Sandra McGuire.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Monday, August 9th from 4 - 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
