Arsen “Ari” Faniko, 20, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, August 3rd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Athens, Greece the son of Qirjako and Loreta.
He leaves his parents, Qirjako and Loreta Faniko; a sister, Eleni Faniko; his grandparents, Sofia Faniko, Vasili and Eleni Vasili; his aunt, Fillareta and Pandeli Baklla; his aunt, Dorina and Vasili Tsikola; his cousins, Dimitri, Sofia, Dimitri, Alexandros, Mejvis, Kristina, Jorgo.
Arsen attended Worcester schools and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 2018, where he was an exemplary student. He was currently enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the Biomedical Engineering program. He was an exceptional individual in every aspect of his life. A kind and loving son to his parents, a caring grandson to his grandparents and an amazing cousin to the rest of his extended family.
Every member of his family, his girlfriend, his friends, his bandmates and colleagues loved Arsen for his great attitude, big heart and likable personality. Positivity and optimism characterized his every step in life. “No” was never part of his vocabulary, sweet and loving words were the only answers you would get from him.
His funeral is Saturday, August 7th with a service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
