Obituary

Jack E. Vollenhals, 89, of Alexandria, Indiana passed away in Sarasota, Florida after an extended illness on August 2, 2021.
He was born on March 1, 1932 in Summitville, the son of James. A. and Mildred (Gough) Vollenhals.
He was a Korean War veteran and a member of Fellowship Masonic Lodge 681.
Jack worked at Delco Remy Anderson for 36 years, retiring in 1986. He also owned and operated Midwest Realty.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Essie "Janie" Vollenhals in 2009 and a granddaughter, Kristy Ann Vollenhals in 2000.
He leaves behind a brother, Bob Vollenhals of Arizona; a daughter, Janet Vollenhals of Anderson; two sons, Jeffrey and his wife, Holly Vollenhals of North Port, Florida; Jamey Vollenhals of Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, August 9, 2021, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Masonic rites will begin at 12:45 followed by the 1:00 p.m. funeral at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
