Stephen G. Foley, Jr., age 34, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, July 29, 2021.
Born in Concord, MA on September 30, 1986, he was a loving son of Stephen G., Sr. and Jeanne M. (Guilfoy) Foley of Norton.
Steve grew up in Norton and was a 2005 graduate of Norton High School. He had formerly worked five years as a utility worker for the R.J. Devereaux Corporation in Boston and was previously employed at Briggs Corner Pizzeria in Attleboro.
Steve’s family and friends, whom he loved dearly, were truly the focal point of his life. Steve cherished the memories created camping at Hermit Island in Bath, ME., staying up late by the fire, looking for shooting stars and patrolling the beach for sharks.
Steve’s hobbies included horticulture, music, listening to podcasts, reading and fishing at the Cape Cod Canal. He was also a gifted artist and enjoyed painting and sketching. His favorite bands were Phish, Tool and The Grateful Dead. He will always be remembered for the special place he had in his heart for animals, especially his late dog Daisy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted sister and brother: Erin J. Foley of Cohasset and Timothy C. Foley and his girlfriend Shannon Quinn of Mansfield. He is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, August 11th from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
At the conclusion of visiting hours at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, family and friends will have the opportunity to share personal reflections as they celebrate and honor Stephen’s life.
