Obituary

Larry S. Bedard, 77, of Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly August 1, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. He was the husband of Maureen (Flaherty) Bedard.

Larry was born in Lancaster, NH, on July 16, 1944, where he was raised and educated. Towards the end of high school he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He met his wife Maureen while in Boston. They were married in 1970 and just celebrated their 50 years of marriage.

Active in the community, Larry coached boys baseball and girls basketball which he helped bring to many championships. He was all about the kids.

He worked for Verizon for 34 years, working his way from repairman to manager. He loved all of the Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He was a proud member of the Tewksbury Elks, Tewksbury VFW. He enjoyed traveling, taking trips to Foxwoods and playing his daily numbers, but most of all he treasured his time with family and friends, his dog, Cooper, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Besides his wife, Maureen Bedard, of Tewksbury, he is survived by his son Tim Bedard and his significant other, Melissa Hoff of Treasure Island, FL; Two Daughters, Kimberly Travis and her husband Jay of Pelham, NH, Kristin Tocio and her husband Jeff of Nashua, NH; Seven Grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, Colby, Jordan, Jake, Connor and Nicco. One Great Granddaughter, Margot. He is also survived by his nephews and friends.

ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 7, 2021, YOU ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND HIS FUNERAL SERVICE AT THE TEWKSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 1 DEWEY ST, TEWKSBURY, MA , 978-851-2061.

HIS CALLING HOURS WILL BE FROM 2PM UNTIL 5PM AND HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WITH MILITARY HONORS WILL TAKE PLACE AT 5PM.
