On July 27th, 2021, Timothy Arnold Castro, age 60, of Ventura, CA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. Being home with his mom was his last and final wish that was made possible. He was born December 27th, 1960 to Raul and Marcella Castro in Ventura, CA.
Tim, a.k.a. “Duke”, was known to be a “jack of all trades” like his father. If he wasn’t in his garage with a tool in hand, he’d be riding his Harley with his buddies or taking spontaneous trips to Vegas. Tim’s childhood passion for classic cars ran deep. For his mother's 80th birthday, he restored his father's '48 Chevy to gift her.
He was well known for his prankster like ways, as well as his sarcastically witty personality. If his mouth didn’t tell it like it is his face sure would. Not always a tough guy he was. Tim enjoyed watching soap operas and Hallmark movies with his mother.
Despite his health woes, Tim always kept a positive outlook on the future. The unconditional love and genuine excitement for the ones he loved will forever be imprinted in our hearts.
Everyone can agree on one thing, Tim was a die hard Raider fan till his very last breath. He wore his Silver and Black colors proudly, and no one could deny his loyalty to the Raiders.

Tim was preceded in death by his father Raul “Pini” Castro. He is survived by his mother Marcella Castro; children Melina, Marcella, Mela (Moo), Jazma, Christina and Tomas; Nine grandchildren (whom he adored and cherished); sisters Denise (Castro) Salinas and Alicia (Castro) Quintero; brother Raul “Andy” Castro. Tim’s also leaving behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held on Friday evening August 6th, 2021 from 5:30pm to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura with a Most Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm.
