Helen (Anastas) Meyers, age 98, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Arbors Assisted Living of Stoneham. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late George and Christine (Tseko) Anastas. A graduate of Somerville High School, Helen lived in Somerville for most of her life, until settling in Waltham. She enjoyed a long career as a receptionist for an investment firm. Helen was a devoted member of St. George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral Parish. Most of all, she was devoted to her large loving family and enjoyed being part of their lives.
The beloved wife of the late Leonard Meyers, she was a loving aunt of Sandra Nazzaro and her husband James of Medford, Carol DeRosa and her husband Gerard of Burlington, Joanna Colby of Maitland, FL, Andrea Abercrombie and her husband Les III of Washington, and Donna Maxwell and her husband Robert of Natick. Helen is also lovingly survived by 12 great nieces and nephews, ten great-great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great niece.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday August 7th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
