Warren Joseph Yaeger, age 78, passed away on August 2, 2021, surrounded by his adoring family. Known as “Bud” to everyone, he was a lifelong resident of Medford, a dedicated teacher in Tewksbury for 35 years, and an avid Boston sports fan who enjoyed a cold one from time to time (exclaiming “ah cha cha cha cha” after the first sip).
Family was everything to him, and he is survived by his amazing wife of 46 years, Joan (Buckley), who he loved more than words can express; 9 wonderful grandchildren, who brought him immense joy; and 4 adult children, who made him extremely proud (plus their incredible spouses) - Matt Yaeger (Heather), Katie Ciampoli (Steven), Michael Yaeger (Laura) and Maryanne Johnson (Germaine). His baby angel Annie is waiting for him in heaven, and she is playing with the best dog ever (Hannah). He also leaves behind many other lives he touched and who touched his, including a brother (Richard “Darby” Yaeger), a sister (Joan Orthober), some fantastic in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bud's funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, August 6th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Bud and the family request that you do something nice for someone else, and consider donating to Parkinson’s research at Mass General Hospital (https://because.massgeneral.org/Bud-Yaeger) or to the Jimmy Fund through the Mike Patterson Foundation (www.mikepattersonfoundation.org)
