Kathryn B. Johnson, 79, of Quaker Lane, Warwick, formerly of Harris Road, Smithfield, died Saturday, July 31, 2021 at HopeHealth and Palliative Care in Providence. She was the widow of Arthur R. Johnson who died in 2005.
She was a daughter of the late Max and Nellie (George) Gebler. She had lived in Warwick for five years and had previously lived in Smithfield. She was a senior teller at the former RI Hospital Trust before retiring.
Kathryn was a member of the Ocean State Baptist Church, loved crafting and her dogs.
She is survived by her children: Arthur R. Johnson of Warwick and Robin S. Ashburn and her husband, William C. Ashburn, Jr. of Carlisle, PA, her grandchildren: Richard Charles Johnson, Arthur Ryan Johnson, William Chester Ashburn, III, Ashley Sue Neergaard and Tyler Evan Ashburn and her great grandchildren: Zoey, Carden, Bronson, Macie, Nickson, William, IV, and Ellie Jo. She was the sister of the late Robert and Richard Gebler, Carolyn Wood and Eleanor Allen.
Her funeral service will be Thursday at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Funeral Service at 10am will be held in Ocean State Baptist Church, 800 Douglas Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation Wednesday, 4-7pm.
