FALL RIVER – Daniel M. Coroa, age 78 of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Judith A. (Ferreira) Coroa and the son of the late Joseph & Irene (Pimental) Coroa.
Prior to retiring, Daniel worked for Marshall Food Equipment Service Co. of Providence, RI for 59 years lastly as a Service Manager. Daniel was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Daniel was a member of his local Veterans Assoc, and had a lifelong passion for basketball. He enjoyed his weekend trips to Foxwood’s Casino. Most of all Daniel’s pride & joy were his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his 2 daughters: Kimberly Coroa Moniz (husband Peter) of Fall River, and Tammy Coroa of Endicott, NY; 3 grandchildren: Kyle Daniel Moniz (wife Vanessa), Kory Michael Moniz, and Makaila Nicole Moniz (fiancé Alexandre Medeiros); a sister: Geraldine DeMello of Fall River; nieces & nephews.
Daniel’s funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA. on Friday, Aug. 6th at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
