Claire Joan Vass (Edwards), 91 of Bridgewater, MA passed away peacefully July 30, 2021.
Claire was born in Brockton, MA to the late Ardelle and Allen Edwards. Devoted sister of Jane Rogers, McColl, SC. Claire was predeceased by her siblings: Allen, Robert, Virginia (Folk), Constance (Mann) and Linda (Cassassa). Cherished mother of Karen Catalfamo (Charles) Port Richey, FL, Debbie Bamber (Peter) Norwood, MA, John Vass (Debbie) Bridgewater, MA and JoAnn Landry (Bud) East Bridgewater, MA. Claire was also predeceased by her son, Russell C. Vass and husband, Charles R. Vass. Claire leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her faithful cat, Sarah.
Claire was a talented quilter and Swedish weaver creating many beautiful pieces. She also made quilts for the NICU babies at Brockton Hospital. Claire loved to travel to various spots in New England and beyond. The highlight of her travels was to Israel.
A celebration of Claire's life will be held at a later date. Interment will be private at Central Cemetery in East Bridgewater, MA.
