DUDLEY - Jeffrey J. Jeneral, 64, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at home in the presence of his family.
He leaves his wife of 39 years, Barbara K. (Knych) Jeneral; a daughter, Erica J. Spears and her husband Andrew of Webster; 2 grandchildren, Star and Maverick; 3 brothers, Francis A. Jeneral and his wife Judith of Charlton, James M. Jeneral of Granite City, IL, and Neil R. Jeneral and his partner Ingrid Allen of East Swanzey, NH; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Webster on February 12, 1957 and raised in Dudley, the youngest son of Francis B. and Claire M. (Mason) Jeneral. He graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 1975, serving as the vice-president of his class. He earned an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Central New England College of Technology in Worcester.
Mr. Jeneral worked as a mechanical engineer at IPG Photonics in Oxford from its inception: he was employee #5. He retired in 2014 because of illness.
He was a member of the NRA and the Singletary Rod & Gun Club in Sutton. He liked to create drawings in pencil, hunt, golf and cook. He loved his Chevy Chevelle and his Plymouth Road Runner.
The family would like to thank the personnel from the Visiting Nurse Association for their wonderful care and compassion for Jeff in his final days.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, July 30, in the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a service at 6:00 PM. Donations in his name may be made to VNA Care, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
