Helen Johnson White, 92, of Chula passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. White at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born January 11, 1929, in Norman Park, Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Wallace Johnson and Lois Simmons Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester White; one son, Kenneth Wayne White; and four brothers, W. H. Johnson, Donald C. Johnson, Doyle J. Johnson and Ralph Johnson. She was a retired accountant but, even after retiring, she helped her friends and neighbors with their tax returns. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chula.
Mrs. White is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Lynn and Dean Lewis of Wyandotte, Michigan; one sister, Geraldine White of Tifton; two grandchildren, Debby Lynn Heyler and Jessica White; and one great-grandson, Ethan Seyuin.
