Selena “Beena” Rodriguez, age 11, passed away on July 21, 2021. She was born on December 13, 2009 in Springfield. She leaves her beloved parents, Felix Rodriguez of Springfield and Tammy (Carlin) Rodriguez of Enfield; 2 sisters, Destiny Rodriguez of Enfield and Deshanay Gonzalez of Holyoke; 1 brother, Davien Rodriguez of Springfield, and a niece, Rose Feliciano of Holyoke; her grandparents, Olga Ruiz of Springfield, Steve Carlin and his wife Terry of Agawam and Brenda DiLuzio and her husband Alan of Chicopee, many aunts and uncles, along with many friends and extended family who will miss her dearly. Selena was predeceased by her “Lelo” Juan Antonio Ruiz and her Uncle Dan DiLuzio. Selena was a student of Prudence Crandall school in Enfield. She loved to sing, dance, make people laugh, make TikToks, and to be nosey! But most of all, Selena had a kind loving spirit. She cared for the underdogs, those not “seen” by the rest of society. Her sunshine dimming out will be a huge loss for everyone. She will be remembered as a beautiful shining soul, she left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. She could walk into a room and instantly make you smile. She was one of a kind, she brought out the best in people and made you a better person just with her existence. Her presence was like a warm embrace. Selena was always one to vouch for the underdogs and made kindness the utmost important. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at New Day Church, 1551 King St, Enfield, CT with a Service starting at 12:00 Noon.
