CHICOPEE – Anne M. (Archambault) Sabourin, 67, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Home on Friday, July 23, 2021. She was born in Holyoke on February 16, 1954, a beloved daughter of Mary R. (Langevin) Archambault of Chicopee and the late Richard L. Archambault. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School in 1972, received an Associate’s Degree from Holyoke Community College and was a lifelong resident of Fairview. She was the Assistant Office Manager for 28 years at the former Menard and Holmberg which is now, Curry Honda on Memorial Drive in Chicopee and retired in 2018. She previously worked at Liberty Liquors in Springfield. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 438, a lifelong boater and camper at Mitch’s Marina, and volunteered many hours at the RiverMills Center in Chicopee. She leaves her loving husband and best friend, James P. Sabourin. They were married on May 8, 1981 in Brattleboro, Vermont and were blessed with over 40 years of happiness together. She also leaves her loving son who was her pride and joy, Matthew J. Sabourin and his fiancée, Amy Skorka, of Chicopee; her two dear sisters, Gail Archambault of Chicopee, and Marybeth Fullerton and her husband, Andrew, of East Longmeadow; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. Besides her father, she was also predeceased by her beloved mother in law and father in law, Anita M. Sabourin and Roland C. Sabourin. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday morning, August 3, 2021 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home.
