John Robert Bennett, 72, of Lisburn, Northern Ireland, formerly of Tifton, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at his home in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. (Northern Ireland time) on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, in Northern Ireland.
Born October 25, 1948 in Omega, Mr. Bennett was the son of the late Bob Bennett and Dorothy Marchant Carper. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Sidney Carper; and two step-brothers, Dennis Carper and Randy Carper.
Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife, Ruth Bennett of Lisburn, Northern Ireland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Victor and Suzan Bennett of Scotland and Jeremy and Naomi Bennett of England; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Neva Rogers of Tifton, two step-brothers, Gerald Carper of Macon and Charles Carper and his wife, Anne, of Tifton; two grandchildren, Ellen and Michael Bennett of Scotland; and several nieces, nephews and many cousins, who loved him dearly.
