James Harlan "Jimmy" Bowen, 40, of Muncie, passed away at home on July 24, 2021, following an extended illness.
He was born on May 4, 1981 in Jacksonville, NC, the son of Johnny Darel and Tina Marie (White) Bowen. He was employed in car part sales with Napa, Carquest, Autozone, and OReilly Auto Parts. He also worked in commercial roofing, construction and well drilling.
He enjoyed working on old cars and always had a vision of what it could be if someone made an effort.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Arin (Benjamin) Bowen, whom he married January 23, 2001; his parents, Johnny and Tina Bowen; five children; Kalei Cheyenne Bowen, Kayleigh Rose Benjamin, James Harlan Bowen Jr., Max Glen Bowen, and Zoe Marie Bowen; granddaughter, Victoaria Shipley; brother, Johnny (Traci) Bowen Jr., mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kimberly and Ralph Benjamin; nephew, Johnny (Brandi) Bowen III.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Barb and Jim House and Glen and Donna White.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 10 AM until Noon at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service.
Funeral services will follow at 12 noon officiated by Dave White. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Daleville.
