FALL RIVER – Joseph A. Correia Jr., age 77, passed away on July 23, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Janice (Crabbe) Correia. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Pimental) Correia. Joseph worked for the Fall River Public Schools for over 30 years and directed the Boys and Girls Club Daycare for 10 years. Joseph was a parishioner at St. Michael’s Church his entire life. He was the CCD Director, where he also earned a Marion Medal.
Along with his wife he is survived by his children Joseph A. Correia III (wife Dianne) of Berkley, Roseann A. Correia of Fall River and Andrew A. Correia (wife Amanda) of Chelmsford, MA; 5 grandchildren Joseph IV, Sydnee, Prudence, Beck Parker and Penelope Correia; as well as many nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his siblings Inez, Edmund, Arthur, Alban, Antone, and Louis Correia, Mary and Matilda Souza, Madeline Coutroubis, Theresa Barboza and Irene Orlando.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, July 28th here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
