Robert J. Haig, 76, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Care One in Newton after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He was the husband of Susan A. (Huggard) Haig.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Robert J. Haig, Sr. and the late Johanna C. (Kimmel) Haig, he had lived in Westport since 2000. Until retirement, he was President of Cutco Corporation and prior to that was the President of Princess House. Mr. Haig was an avid Boston and New York sports fan and coached hockey and baseball for many years.
Including his wife, survivors include 2 sons: Keith M. Haig of Westport and Scott T. Haig and his wife Laurie of Wellesley, MA; a sister: Joanne Johnstone of NJ; and 3 grandchildren: Lily, Charlotte and Ryan.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M.
Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:30 A.M. prior to the funeral.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
