James Butler age 75 passed on Saturday July 10th 2021. In his vast circle of friends he was known as "Jim" and lovingly Beanie to his family.
Jim was the owner and editor of the New Bedford publication "The Weekly Compass" He carries with him many titles, author, award winning statesman and the title he treasured most Master bridge player.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Vivian, father James Sr. and brother Leon. Survived by his son Gerard,daughter Raven. Many family members including 4 sisters, Deborah Davis, Robbin Rogers, Karen Freeman, Babette Harris and numerous nieces,nephews, cousins an longtime partner in love Patricia Silva.
