Keaton J. Loyd, 17, of Sumner passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Ty Ty First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Keaton will be laid to rest at Ty Ty First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Keaton will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Austin Tucker, John Tucker, Dustin Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Robert Graham, Dale Tucker and Gary McKenzie will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaylen Green, Kameron Loyd and Geronimo “Momo”.
Born January 30, 2004, in Sylvester, Keaton was the son of Jamey Loyd of Ty Ty. He was a rising senior at Tift County High School. He was a good student and he was a member of the Tift County Show Choir.
In addition to his mother, Keaton is survived by two brothers, Jaylen Green and Kameron Loyd, both of Ty Ty; one sister, McKenzie Green of Ty Ty; his grandparents, Joe Tucker of Sumner and Robert and Dana Graham of Ty Ty; one aunt, Niki Hayes of Ty Ty; his best friend, Summer Lott of Ty Ty; and Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
