The world lost a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Claire Arlene (Thibeault) Hovey, 91, formerly of Franklin, MA on July 17th with her daughter, son and his wife by her side. Claire was born in Harrisville, RI, on April 26th,1930, the daughter of the late Edward and Aldoma (Cusson) Thibeault of Franklin, MA. After graduating FHS in 1947 Claire married the love of her life the late Harry D. Hovey.
Claire enjoyed doing interlocking puzzles, playing bingo, the beach, word searches, quilting, camping, and visiting her friends in Amish country, Lancaster, PA. She was Elvis Presleys number one fan.
After her retirement as an administrative assistant at the Foxboro Company, she was a volunteer for many senior organizations, and was the past president of the Bellingham Widow’s Club. Donating hand knitted hats for infants in the NICU and lap blankets for US Veterans became a passion. Thousands benefited from her hobby. Now realizing our mother single handily contributed to the shortage of yarn and knitting supplies; and no one else in the family shares this love or talent please inquire for more details regarding free yarn.
Claire will lovingly be remembered by her children, the late James E. Hovey, his wife Donna L. Hovey of ME, Joanne M. Bussiere, her late husband Ernest Bussiere of NH, Cheryl A.
