New Bedford – Manuella I. “Winnie” (DaCosta) Enos, 86, of Acushnet died after a long illness at St. Luke’s Hospital on April 3, 2006. She was the wife of William T. Enos, Jr.
Mrs. Enos was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Margaret (Silva) DaCosta, and resided in Acushnet since 1969. She was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Church, New Bedford. She was employed as a stitcher by the former Langshaw Mfg. Co., New Bedford until her retirement in 1979. She enjoyed playing the guitar at various local nursing homes and singing in the church choir.
Survivors include her widower; a daughter: Janice M. Miller of E. Freetown; 2 sons: Barry J. Sylvia of Jacksonville, FL and Cory N. Enos of Acushnet; a stepson: Michael W. Enos of Acushnet; a sister: Julianna Swan of East Haven, CT; 3 brothers: Herbert DaCosta of New Bedford, Albert DaCosta of Freetown and Antonio DaCosta of New Haven, CT; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Visitation on Thursday, April 6, 2006, 10-11 A.M.
Funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.
Interment in Chace Cemetery, E. Freetown.
