Edward F. Clark, Jr., 83, of Billerica, formerly a longtime Tewksbury resident,passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at High Pointe Hospice House of Haverhill after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Althea M. (Grace) Clark, with whom he had shared over 63 years of marriage.
A son of the late Edward F. Clark, Sr. and the late Margaret A. (DeGenova) Clark, he was born January 3, 1938, in Boston, and was raised and educated in the Everett area, graduating from Everett Vocational High School, Mechanic Shop, Class of 1956. Prior to graduating from High School, Edward enlisted in the United States Air Force and later served with the Air National Guard. Mr. Clark served his country for over 25 years before his Honorable Discharge in 1980. During that time, he also earned an associates degree in business from Newbury College in the 1970’s.
A proud member of the Wilmington Shriners and a Freemason for over sixty years, he attained the rank of Captain, Aleppo Squad, 3rd Degree Mason. He was also a member of the Boston HOG (Harley Owners Group).
He was known as a tinkerer and was the type of man who believed things should be built, not bought, and built better. His family was his center and he cherished time spent with his children and especially his grandchildren. He worked as a licensed electrician for most of his life throughout Massachusetts for many years before settling at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell for over 15 years before his semiretirement in 2010. He had also worked in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning trade and as a machinist for a number of years, he never stopped learning. Although he had many jobs, his most important and favorite job was doing anything his grandchildren told him him.
Besides his beloved wife, Althea, he is survived by his children, Edward F. Clark, III, of Billerica, James F. Clark and his wife, Robyn, of Sanford, ME, and Patricia A. Doucette and her husband, Michael, of Hubbardston, MA; his grandchildren, Ronald Clark and his fiancé, Meaghan O'Neel of Baltimore, MD, Nicholas Clark and his wife, Melissa, of San Antonio, TX, Maria Clark and her boyfriend, Matt Martin, of Barrington, NH, and Jocelyn Doucette of Hubbardston; his precious great grandchildren, Sienna and Bennett of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by a longtime family friend, Nancy Cianchetta of Everett, MA; his brother in law, Gerald Peterson of NC; and several nieces, nephews and friends he made through the years along with his Freemason and Shriner Family.
He was also predeceased by his sister, the late Louise Peterson, his granddaughter, the late Krystal Clark and his daughter in law, the late Debra Clark.

On Thursday, His Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. at TEWKSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 1 DEWEY STREET, TEWKSBURY 978-851-2061. His burial will be held privately at a later date.
