DUDLEY – Elizabeth A. (Kozerski) Carroll, 65, died Friday, July 9, 2021 after an illness. Her husband, Edward J. Carroll, Jr., died in 2020.
She leaves a son, James Joseph Carriveau of Virginia; a daughter, Sandra M. Hassett of Putnam, CT; 2 grandsons, Anthony J. Carriveau and Jay Hassett, Jr.; 4 brothers, Charles Kozerski, Russell Kozerski and David Kozerski, all of Pennsylvania, and Michael Schonberg of Kentucky; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Catherine Tatro and Deborah Grippin.
She was born on February 22, 1956 in Worcester, a daughter of Casmis and Alice (Converse) Kozerski. She graduated from Springfield Trade High School in 1974 and then earned an Associate Degree from Quinsigamond Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was a member of the National Honorary Society, Phi Kappa Phi and was a community monitor for Mental Retardation.
Mrs. Carroll worked in health care at several different agencies and hospitals and later worked in the bakery at the Big Y in Southbridge. She was a former volunteer for the American Red Cross.
Her calling hours will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a funeral service at 3:30 P.M. in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
