Clarence Paul Stewart Jr. 85, of Chesterfield, passed away following an extended illness on July 14, 2021 at his home.
He was born on February 12, 1936 in Muncie and was employed as a truck driver for Marsh Supermarkets for 42 years. He was a member of the Parker Masonic Lodge #630 of Muncie and the American Legion Post 408 of Chesterfield. He enjoyed fishing.
Clarence is survived by his sons, Jerry (Anita) Stewart and Robert Stewart; five grandchildren; Mark (Kelly) Stewart, Jerry (Jessica) Stewart, Kailan (Joe) Lilly, Kyle (Breanna) Stewart and Kevin Stewart; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Viva (Ken) Youngblood; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phylis Stewart and a son, Steven Stewart.
The family would also like to thank four special caregivers of Clarence; Courtney Bennett, Tammy Hughes, Brittany Pratcher, and Emily Sargent.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 2 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Ned Clark. Masonic rites will be presented by the Parker Masonic Lodge at 2PM with the funeral service to immediately follow.
Burial will take place at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield.
Visitation with the family will take place from 12 noon until 2pm on Monday, prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Compassas Hospice.
