Anita Marie (Esposito) Ruck, age 82, of Medford passed away on Sunday, July 11, at Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Born in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Meli) Esposito. Anita served as a Teachers Aid in the Medford school system where she made a difference in many lives working with special needs students, who affectionately knew her as “Miss Anita.” She loved to cook and entertain, and vacation with her family. Anita was a loving, dedicated and devoted mother and grandmother.
Anita was the beloved wife of the late Warren Richard Ruck, and the devoted mother of Laura Paul and her husband Joseph of Medford, Cheryl McGarigle and her husband Jay of Townsend, and Steven Ruck and his wife Donna of North Reading. She was the loving grandmother of Charles McGarigle, and Brandon and Kyle Ruck. Anita was the dear sister of Frances Annand of North Reading and her late husband Ron, Sandra Marcotti and her husband John of Tyngsboro, Diane DiNapoli and her husband Richard of Reading, and the late Denise Pignone. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, July 15th from 4 through 8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Friday, July 16th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
