Vera Faye (Faye) Streeks, 75, of Ventura, California, passed away on July 10, 2021, in Santa Barbara, California. Faye was born in Fairmont, West Virgina to Zola Pearl Clayton and Howard Richard Clayton on October 18, 1945. She went to high school at Fairmont High and graduated in 1963. She went on to earn a degree from Ventura College. While Faye had dreams of being a registered nurse, she took that passion and focus and applied it to the Human Services Agency for the County of Ventura. There she went on to receive awards for her deep caring and compassion as an eligibility officer where she worked for 13 years. She was known for her full-throated infectious laugh and warm welcoming spirit.
Faye is survived by her husband William of 52 years, daughters Jennifer Enoch and Jeneen Peterson, son David Streeks, stepsons Michael and Steven Streeks, and seventeen grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother Zola Clayton, father Howard Clayton, and brother, Gary Clayton.
Funeral services will be held on July 15, 2021 at 11 am at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura with Reverend Gary Dickey officiating. Graveside service and interment at the Carpinteria Cemetery District.
