Clemont A. Ball passed away on Monday July 5, 2021, at the age of 91, surrounded by his loving family. Clemont was born on June 25, 1930, in Durmore, PA, and was the son of Oscar and Lamona (Albertson) Ball. He graduated from the Philadelphia Academy of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a devoted member of the First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Springfield, MA, where he served as a Deacon and Elder. Clem was a proud member of Local 108 Carpenters Union, where he worked as a job steward for many years. Clem enjoyed football and played on club teams such as the Springfield Bears and Springfield Rams until his early 60’s. He also enjoyed traveling, beach trips, church gatherings, and spending time with his family and friends. Clem is survived by his beloved wife, Lois W. Ball of 68 years, whom he met at his football game and they eventually eloped on February 14, 1953. He is also survived by their four children, Michelle, and her husband Donald Mikkleson of Herndon, VA, Clemont (Monty) Jr. and his wife Deborah A. Ball of Rocky Hill, CT, Jaqueline and her husband Paul Stec of Chicopee, MA, and Jeannine Ball of Leeds, MA. He leaves his beloved grandchildren, Amos McLeod, Melissa McLeod, Danielle Palona, Nicole Plunske, John Ball, Brian Stec, Jennifer O’Neill and Andrew Ball. He also leaves many great grandchildren whom he adored. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 4:45 PM at the First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1118 Sumner Avenue, in Springfield, MA. There are no calling hours. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ADRA International, 3 Angel Deaf Ministries, or Holyoke Hospice Life Care. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
